  • 1/4 onion
  • 1/4 carrot
  • 1/2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • 15 g compté
  • 1/4 pinch salt
  • 1/4 pinch pepper
  • 63 g green lentils
  • 1/4 cloveof garlic
  • 1/4 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1/4 egg
  • 15 g breadcrumbs
  • 1 leafsalad
  • 1 hamburger bun
  • 1/2 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1/2 tablespoon mayonnaise

Method
 

  1. Cook the lentils for 20 minutes (starting from cold) and let them cool.
  2. Preheat the oven to 200°C (thermostat 6-7).
  3. Peel and grate the carrot.
  4. Finely chop the onion and sauté it in the pan with olive oil.
  5. After 5 minutes add the carrot and cumin.
  6. Let it simmer.
  7. In a bowl, crush the lentils with the tomato paste.
  8. Add the onion/carrot mixture, the egg, the breadcrumbs, salt and pepper. Mix well.
  9. Form into patties and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  10. Bake for 30 minutes and turn over halfway through cooking.
  11. Toast the burger buns.
  12. Spread mayonnaise on the buns, add a lettuce leaf, a lentil patty, and a piece of cheese. Close the burger with the bun, which has been brushed with ketchup.
